Exciting Developments for the Costerfield House CareVilla: A New Chapter at Reflections at Eppalock
Costerfield House CareVilla, recent recipient of the 2024 Future Aging Award for Design and Innovation presented by Inside Ageing, is thrilled to announce its new affiliation with Reflections at Eppalock, marking the beginning of a significant transformation. This partnership will establish Costerfield House as a unique respite tourism option for travellers exploring Central Victoria, Australia.
Costerfield House Respite Accommodation will be ready by Mid-Late November 2024.
Reflections at Eppalock is a remarkable respite initiative designed to support people living with dementia and their carers. Nestled on the serene banks of Lake Eppalock, it provides a nature-based environment that promotes relaxation, connection, and well-being. The hub offers therapeutic programs such as guided nature walks, sensory gardens, and creative workshops—all tailored to enhance cognitive and emotional health. These activities stimulate the senses, foster social connections, and provide much-needed respite for both individuals with dementia and their carers.
Work is currently underway at Costerfield House, including the restoration of window hoods, the installation of an accessibility ramp, and new decking. Inside, the facility is being reassembled to create a comfortable environment, with landscaping, water, sewerage, and power connections nearing completion.
Anticipating the completion by mid-November, we aim to welcome our first overnight guests by the end of November.
The combined efforts of Reflections at Eppalock and Costerfield House will make this a premier respite tourism destination for travelers seeking relaxation and support in this beautiful part of central Victoria.
